Shireen is a local resident of Tampa, Florida. She has taught art lessons in the New Tampa masjid to kids and their moms since 2017. Shireen also teaches art to the elementary grades in the Bayaan Academy on a volunteer basis once a week.
About the Art Lessons
This series will teach fundamental water color techniques using soft oil pastels instead of water color paints. Students will learn how to create realistic representation of landscapes, harmonizing and contrasting the use of color, shape and tone. They will learn color blending techniques using paint brushes. This is a 3-week series. Students will meet once a week for three weeks each Saturday.
Age limit: 7 to adult
Max number of spots: 12
Timings: 11:15am to 1:00 pm

Registration & Payment
Each lesson is $30. You can register for any of these lessons according to your convenience. You have to register ahead of time by making a payment first.
Moms are encouraged to take the class along with their child. Moms can share the art supplies with their child.
It is important to purchase the following art supplies from Amazon. Please do not purchase a different brand because my art lessons are based on these supplies. (click on the pictures below to purchase them from Amazon. The pictures are links to Amazon).

Set of brushes ( you can purchase any set of various sizes soft water color or acrylic brushes)
I'll be providing the water color paper to the students. If you want to practice at home and create more art work after the lessons are finished you need to purchase the paper pad listed below.
When your child completes these three lessons they can use the remaining supplies to create more art work on their own. Our aim is to equip your child with enough supplies so they can continue to practice the techniques they learn in these lessons on their own.
