Surah Ikhlaas
The 112 chapter of the Quran, “Surah Ikhlaas” is written in Arabic calligraphy in this art piece. Muslims believe that the four “Qul” surahs (chapters) provide protection against evil and harm. Therefor, most Muslims usually memorize these four surahs and recite them several times in the day.
Translation of Ikhlaas is "Sincerity". The following is the translation of the surah:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
SAY: He is God alone:
God the eternal!
He begets not and He is not begotten;
And there is none like unto Him. (Qur’án 112 1–4, tr. Rodwell)
