This original piece of art by Shireen Sardar is made up of the Arabic alphabet written in the Riqa script with some deviations regarding the dots of some of the letters. The alphabet is written in the traditional black ink on white paper. The black ink against the clean white background makes this piece a beautiful addition to any room displaying a clean artsy look.
The Arabic alphabet is usually taught to all Muslim children from a very young age. Most Muslim parents want their children to learn how to recite the Holy Quran in Arabic. The Quran, Muslims believe, was revealed over a period of 23 years to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). It was revealed in the Arabic language.
