Original handwritten Islamic calligraphy art by a master calligrapher from Pakistan. The Arabic calligraphy is written with brown and black ink. The two letters "Laa" in the center of the art is written in gold paint in a clever way enclosing the first part of the phrase. The crown shaped intricate design is in dark gray color paint.
The meaning of the Arabic calligraphy in this piece is : "There is no god except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah". This is the first pillar of Islam. Muslims recite this phrase in order to reaffirm their basic belief.
The calligraphy in this piece is written with such mastery, skill and precision that it looks like a print when you see it initially. Two different scripts are used in this art piece. The Thuluth (Sulus) script is used in the bottom half of the art piece and the Jalli Diwani script is used in the upper half of the art piece. The crown shaped intricate design at the top the Arabic calligraphy and the bright gold of the "laa" adds an additional layer of beauty to this art piece.
